eRank vs EverBee: which Etsy research tool is worth paying for in 2026?

Updated 2026-10-17 · Some links are affiliate links; we may earn a commission at no cost to you. Prices change often, so check the vendor's site.

eRank and EverBee are two of the most common names in Etsy research, and both have a free plan. They solve different problems, though. eRank is mainly about keywords and listing SEO, while EverBee is mainly about product validation: whether listings like the one you plan to make actually sell. Here we compare what each free plan includes, what the paid plans cost, and which one is worth paying for first.

All prices below were checked on eRank's pricing page and EverBee's pricing page on 17 October 2026, in US dollars. Vendors change plans often, so check before you buy.

What each tool is built for

eRank: keyword research and listing audits

eRank is a web app built around Etsy SEO. You look up keywords and get estimated search and competition data, plus keyword ideas and trend data from Etsy and other marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay. You can also connect your shop to audit listings against Etsy's guidelines, see which keywords and platforms send you traffic, and monitor competitor shops, including their estimated daily sales. The interface is dense, but once you learn it, the listing audit is a quick way to find missing tags and weak titles. More in our eRank review.

EverBee: product research in your browser

EverBee is best known for its Chrome extension. While you browse Etsy search results or a shop, it shows data for each listing. On paid plans that includes estimated sales, revenue and conversion rate, plus trends and growth rates over time. It also has keyword research with a Keyword Score and a Tag Analyzer on paid plans. The appeal is speed: you can see whether a niche has buyers without leaving Etsy. More in our EverBee review.

Free plans compared

This is where the difference matters most for new sellers.

The catch with EverBee's free plan is that the estimated sales and revenue figures, the main reason most people install it, are listed under the paid Growth plan, not Hobby. EverBee also says it has no free trial. The free plan is still handy for spotting listings with lots of reviews and favorites, but treat it as a preview.

eRank's free plan is smaller in daily volume, but the features it includes are its core ones: keyword lookups and listing audits. Five lookups a day is enough to research a few listings properly, especially if you are only adding a handful of products a week.

eRank

EverBee

On price alone, eRank's entry plan costs a fraction of EverBee's. That isn't a like-for-like comparison, though, because they sell different data. A better question is which data would change your decisions.

Keyword research: eRank has the edge

If your listings already exist and you want more of them to show up in Etsy search, eRank is the more focused tool. Even its cheapest paid plan gives you 100 lookups a day, keyword ideas and listing audits on your own shop. EverBee's keyword research is capable on Growth (unlimited keywords with a score), but it comes at a much higher price than eRank Basic.

Remember that Etsy does not publish search volumes. Both tools estimate them, and their numbers will not match. Use them to compare keywords against each other, and check the real search terms that bring visitors to your shop in Etsy Shop Manager Stats, which is free.

Product validation: EverBee has the edge

Before you make a new design or add a print-on-demand product, the useful question is whether similar listings sell at all. EverBee's paid plans are built for this: estimated sales and revenue on each listing, sortable research tables and growth trends. eRank can estimate daily sales for competitor shops you monitor, but it is less focused on browsing a niche listing by listing.

Treat any sales estimate with caution. Neither tool has access to Etsy's real sales data for other shops. The figures are estimates and work best for comparing listings with each other.

Which one should you pay for?

Count the tool in your margins

A $25 monthly subscription is small for a busy shop and large for a new one. Before you upgrade, work out how many extra sales it needs to pay for itself. Put a typical order into our Etsy fee & profit calculator to see your profit per sale after Etsy's listing, transaction and payment processing fees, then divide the subscription price by that number. If a new POD product is on the table, our guide to starting an Etsy POD shop for $0 upfront covers the rest of the free stack.

Bottom line

eRank is the better value for keyword research and listing SEO, and its free plan includes the core features. EverBee is the better tool for checking whether a product idea sells, but its most useful data is behind the paid Growth plan. Start free with both, see which one you open more often, and pay for that one. For the wider field, read the best Etsy SEO tools in 2026.
